I created a ticket, when can I expect an answer?

Most, if not all tickets, are answered the same day we receive them. However, depending on our workload, we may not be able to get back to you immediately. But remember, we try to answer every request as fast as we can.

What is a ticket? Is it the same as a request?

When you were issued a school phone, you accepted responsibility for the device and agreed to pay to replace it. If your phone is damaged, please submit a help desk ticket and we will work with you to get you back in business.

Can I have a charger for my phone since I left mine at home?

TSBVI is not able to provide chargers for personal devices. Try borrowing one from a co-worker.

I'm trying to video or take pictures but my device is saying I don't have any room.

It is always best practice to move all of your school videos and photos off of your mobile device and onto our secure servers. If you don't have sufficient storage space on your device, try moving existing videos and images to Emerson and then delete them from your mobile device.

I missed the tech request, can I still get an iPad?

Unfortunately, no. We order just enough to fill requests that are submitted and approved. The request period is available for almost 2 months. Once the request period is over, we are not able to fill technical hardware requests.

Why do my voicemail messages sound slow (or fast)?

Keys 4 and 6 on your phone adjust playback speed and were likely hit inadvertently. Press 4 to slow them down, press 6 to speed them up.

I’ve logged in to Windows and all my desktop icons are gone. Have I lost all my data?

No. Windows was not able to load your local profile successfully and created a temporary one. Please submit a help desk ticket and we'll get you fixed up.

I can't get into my computer - what do I do?

If it's not a network password issue, try rebooting the machine. If the screen is blank, make sure the monitor is plugged in. If this doesn't work, please submit a help desk ticket and we'll be in touch.
